Abstract Ukupni globalni procesi na međunarodnom tržištu s osvrtom na fenomen globalizacije sa svim karakteristikama i implikacijama na svjetsku ekonomiju, obilježavaju suvremeno svjetsko gospodarstvo, i analogno tome zorno ukazuje na ostale procese u svjetskom okruženju. Menadžment u sportu, kao znanstveno područje koje se bavi poslovnom stranom sporta, predstavlja jednu od najvažnijih i ujedno najsloženijih djelatnosti, koja osigurava integralnost svih procesa i resursa koji su relevantni za upravljanje procesima i funkcijama na što racionalniji, ekonomičniji i efikasniji način. Fenomen konvergencije implicira usvajanje transnacionalne strategije, posebice u smislu utjecaja na marketinško strateško odlučivanje. Posljedice usvajanja generičkih strategija upućuju na procese marketinškog odlučivanja, inovacije i razvoj novih proizvoda i strategije kvalitete usluga, kao ključne strategije sportskog marketinga. Tretiranjem djelatnosti sporta kao tržišne kategorije, strateški važna postaje primjena koncepcije upravljanja, odnosno esencijalna potreba primjene koncepcije sportskog marketinga i menadžmenta, a posebno njihovih osnovnih elemenata zbog unaprjeđenja i razvoja sporta, ali i zbog utjecaja sporta na gospodarski razvoj. Ulaganja u sportsku infrastrukturu tj. u novu dugotrajnu imovinu namijenjenu sportskoj djelatnosti, najbolji je pokazatelj koliko se doista ulaže u ozbiljne, dugoročne projekte u djelatnosti sporta. Sport omogućuje ostvarivanje profita, a time i razvoj poduzetništva koje je zasigurno pokretač gospodarskoga razvitka. Prijedlogom odgovarajućeg modela radikalne inovacije sustava sporta nastoji se determinirati zahtjevnije karakteristike suvremenog sporta koji kao uspješni koncept može u znatnoj mjeri doprinijeti razvoju ukupnog nacionalnoga gospodarstva na međunarodnom tržištu.
Abstract (english) Total global processes in the international market, reflecting on the phenomenon of globalization with all the characteristics and implications of the world economy, are characterized by the modern world economy and, similarly, it clearly points to other processes in the world environment. Sport management as a scientific field of business sports is one of the most important and at the same time the most complex of activities, which ensures the integrity of all processes and resources that are relevant to managing processes and functions in a more rational, economical and efficient way. The convergence phenomenon implies the adoption of a transnational strategy, particularly in terms of impact on marketing strategic decision-making. The consequences of adopting generic strategies point to the processes of marketing decision-making, innovation and the development of new products and service quality strategies as the key sport marketing strategy. By treating the activity of sport as a market category, the management concept, i.e. the essential necessity of applying the concept of sports marketing and management, and their essential elements for the promotion and development of sports, but also because of the influence of sport on economic development, is becoming strategically important. Investing in sports infrastructure, i.e. new long-term assets intended for sporting activities, is the best indicator of how much it really invests in serious, long-term projects in sports. Sport enables the realization of profits, and hence the development of entrepreneurship, which is certainly a driver of economic development. With the proposal of the appropriate model of radical sports innovation system, it tries to determine the more demanding characteristics of modern sport which as a successful concept can significantly contribute to the development of the overall national economy on the international market.
