Abstract
Doktorski rad pokazuje kako je izgledalo djelovanje jednoga građanskoga suda u srednjem vijeku, kako se sud uklapa u sustav uprave i društveno tkivo zajednice, s kojim su se problemima i zadaćama procesne stranke i sudski službenici tijekom sudskoga postupka susretali, kako su im u svakodnevnoj praksi pristupali te na koji je način sudski postupak, između ostaloga, utjecao na stvaranje društvenoga znanja o tome da se sudske odluke moraju smatrati legitimnima i obvezujućima. Istraživanje je provedeno na primjeru zadarskoga građanskoga suda u drugoj polovici 14. stoljeća.
Abstract (english)
Doctoral thesis explores the activities of one of the medieval civil courts of justice, its integration in the system of administration and social fabric of community, problems and tasks that stood before litigants and court officials during trials and the ways in which they approached solving of that problems and tasks in everyday life. It deals also with the question of how legal proceedings influenced the creation and reproduction of social knowledge that court sentences should be regarded as legitimate and binding for all participants in trials. The research was conducted on the example of Zadar civil court in the second half of the 14th century.
