Abstract
U magistarskom radu je opisan proces projektiranja prijenosnog dijela UTRAN mreže (UTRAN – UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network) sa svrhom smanjenja kapacitetskih troškova u mreži uz održavanje jamstva za QoS i GoS. U radu se koristi nekoliko postupaka dimenzioniranja ATM ili IP prijenosne mreže. Kaufman–Robertsov (K–R) postupak sa CAC modelom se primjenjuje za garantirane kanalno komutirane (CS) i paketski komutirane (PS) usluge. Modificirani K–R postupak sa elastičnim prometnim modelom uzima u obzir negarantirane PS usluge i HSDPA (High Speed Data Packet Access) paketske usluge. Ako su raspoloživi resursi radio mreže ograničeni koristi se postupak kanalnih elemenata (CE) za procjenu donjeg i gornjeg kapacitetskog ograničenja prijenosne mreže. Glavni cilj rada je usporediti i navesti prednosti različitih prijenosnih rješenja, sa posebnim naglaskom na paketske usluge, koristeći gore navedene postupke. Proračunati su i analizirani različiti utjecaji paketskih usluga za jedan krajnji RBS u prijenosnoj mreži: utjecaj ograničenih resursa radio mreže, različitih postupaka AAL2 QoS razdvajanja, povećanog broja negarantiranih PS i HSDPA korisnika i povećanja prometa PS i HSDPA usluga. Proračunat je i uspoređen utjecaj različitih komutacijskih alternativa i prijenosnih topologija za RBS grupu u prijenosnoj mreži. Prikazan je primjer cjelovitog projektiranja i provjere statističkih performansi paketskih korisnika komercijalne prijenosne mreže u radu.
Abstract (english)
The master thesis describes design process of the transport UTRAN network (UTRAN – UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network), with the main purpose of reducing capacity costs in the network while maintaining the guarantee of required QoS and GoS. This work uses several dimensioning methods in ATM or IP transport network. Kaufman–Roberts (K–R) method with CAC model is applied for guaranteed CS and PS services. Modified K–R method with elastic traffic model considers best effort PS and HSDPA services. If amount of the available radio network resources are limited Channel Element (CE) method is used for estimation of lower and upper capacity bound of the transport network. The main goal of this work is to specify advantages by comparing different transport solutions, with a special accent on packet services, using above specified methods. Different impacts of packet services are calculated and analysed for one RBS in transport network: impact of the limited resources in the radio network, different AAL2 QoS separation cases, increasing number of best effort PS and HSDPA subscribers and traffic increasing of PS and HSDPA services. Impact of different switching alternatives and transport topologies are calculated and compared for RBS cluster in transport network. The complete design example and statistical performance verification of the packet users of the commercial transport network is presented.
