Abstract	Ovaj rad sastoji se od pet poglavlja. U prvom je dan uvod u istraživačko područje ovog magistarskog rada. Postavljene su hipoteze i prikazana je metodologija istraživanja. U drugom poglavlju prikazani su instrumenti upravljanja rizicima u energetici pri čemu je posebna pozornost posvećena objašnjenju specifičnosti električne energije kao robe i elektroenergetskog sustava kao sustava u realnom vremenu. Uzimajući u obzir te činjenice posebno su objašnjeni instrumenti koje se koriste za upravljanje rizicima u energetici, kao i rizici kojima je izložena energetska industrija. U trećem poglavlju objašnjena je opravdanost funkcije upravljanja cjenovnim rizicima u poduzeću, a u četvrtom poglavlju prikazani su rezultati istraživanja provedenog na energetskim kompanijama iz uzorka kojeg čine članovi EFET-a. Na kraju je zaključak u kome su prikazani zaključci i doprinosi ovog rada. Istraživanje je pokazalo da 91% poduzeća upravlja cjenovnim rizikom. Najčešće korišteni instrument su unaprijednice, 68,2%, te opcije i ročnice, više od 50 %. Statistička analiza je pokazala da su veličina i zaduženost najvažniji faktori koji utječu na odluku o upravljaju rizikom promjene cijene električne energije kao i na odluke o odabiru pojedinih instrumenata zaštite od cjenovnog rizika.
Abstract (english)	The thesis is consisted of five cha s introduction in research field of the thesis. Hypothesis are given and shown. The second chapter deals with instruments used in managing ene en the fact that electricity is special kind of good and power systems have tures unknown in other areas where derivatives are used. The third chapter gives theoretical explanation of managing price risk in companies, and the fourth chapter presents results of survey made on sample consisted of EFET members. At the end there is conclusion and benefits of the thesis. The research has shown that 91% of companies manage price risk. The most used derivative are forwards (68%), and options and futures (more than 50%). Statistical analysis has shown that size and leverage of companies are the most important factors in making decisions on managing price risk and usage of derivatives.
