Abstract	U radu su prikazane tehnološke karakteristike mreža kakve danas postoje s točke gledišta različitih heterogenih platformi. Arhitektura GMPLS-a kreirana je s idejom njihovog usklađivanja: mogućnost formiranja konekcija s kraja na kraj unutar spomenutih transportnih entiteta, mreže koja se sastoji od elemenata različitih isporučitelja opreme, formiranja zajedničke kontrolne ravnine i upravljanja cjelokupne transportne platforme jedinstvenim sustavom neke su od prednosti implementacije GMPLS-a. Jedna od najvažnijih činjenica koja ostavlja široka vrata intenzivnijoj uporabi GMPLS-a je to da je potrebna samo nadogradnja postojeće opreme, a ne implementacija opreme potpuno novog tipa. Rad predstavlja modele mrežne okosnice i regionalnih razina u vidu predlaganja funkcionalnosti u čvorovima.
Abstract (english)	In the thesis, technological characteristics of networks that exist today from the aspect of diverse heterogenous platforms were shown. A GMPLS architecture was created with the idea of their harmonizing: end-to-end provisioning capability within mentioned transport entities, network that consists of multivendor elements, creating of common control plane and network management by the uniform system are some of the benefits due to GMPLS implementation. One of the most important facts that leave the open door to more intensive use of GMPLS is need to only upgrade existing equipment, and not the Implementation of completely new type of equipment. The thesis presents models of backbone and regional layer in the sense of proposing node functionality.
