Abstract
Usluge javnih informacijskih sustava postaju sve složenije. Veliki dio ostvarenja modernih usluga čine funkcionalnosti koje su zajedničke svim uslugama. Razvoj i održavanje usluga i klijentskih programa pojednostavljuje se premještanjem zajedničkih funkcionalnosti usluga u posrednički sustav. Preuzimanjem velikog dijela funkcionalnosti usluga posrednik preuzima i veliki dio opterećenja javnog informacijskog sustava. Stoga se posrednički sustav oblikuje kao raspodijeljeni računalni sustav koji ima svojstvo razmjernog rasta s povećanjem broja korisnika i usluga. U magistarskom radu opisane su arhitektura i funkcionalnosti posrednika te je dat prijedlog njegove podjele na međusobno neovisne komponente koje je moguće razmjestiti na više računala. Poboljšanje razmjernog rasta posredničkog sustava postiže se uključivanjem posredničkih komponenti u radno okružje za dinamičko upravljanje opterećenjem posredničkog sustava, koje je oblikovano i ostvareno u praktičnom dijelu rada. Primjena ostvarenog radnog okružja uspješno je demonstrirana na primjeru zajedničkih funkcionalnosti posrednika MidArc. Tijekom razvoja radnog okružja naglasak je stavljen na uporabu gotovih komponenti i zrelih tehnologija.
Abstract (english)
Public information system services are becoming increasingly complex. A great portion of every modern service consists of functions that are common to all services. In order to simplify development and maintenance of modern services and client applications, the common functions are relocated into a central system of common functions - the mediator. By claiming responsibility over a great portion of services' functionality, the mediator takes over a great part of public information system load. Therefore, the mediator must be designed as a scalable distributed computer system. This master thesis describes the architecture and functions of the mediator and proposes a division of the mediator into independent components that can be distributed onto a set of computers. Mediator scalability is achieved by installation of the mediator components into the dynamic load management framework, designed and developed as the practical work of this thesis. The said framework is successfully applied to the MidArc mediator common functions. The framework is developed with an emphasis on off the shelf component usage and application of mature technologies.
