Abstract	Ubrzani razvoj napredne elektroenergetske mreže uzrokovao je uvođenje velikog broja prostorno raspodijeljenih upravljačko-nadzornih uređaja i složenih upravljivih podsustava poput virtualnih elektrana i mikromreža. Analizom postojećih sustava pokazano je kako trenutno dostupne aplikacije za automatizaciju podsustava ne ispunjavanju sve funkcionalne zahtjeve složenih upravljivih podsustava napredne elektroenergetske mreže. Stoga, postoji potreba za razvojem odgovarajućih tehnoloških rješenja koja će omogućiti pojednostavljeno i ubrzano uključivanje novih podsustava u rad elektroenergetske mreže te automatsku prilagodbu upravljačko-nadzornih aplikacija novim metodologijama upravljanja. U ovom radu opisana je posrednička platforma koja pomoću vertikalne komunikacije omogućuje olakšano i ubrzano uvođenje složenih raspodijeljenih podsustava u rad napredne elektroenergetske mreže. Semantički opisi funkcionalnosti postrojenja i komunikacija s posredničkom platformom temeljeni su na načelima opisanima standardom IEC 61850 i posredničkoj tehnologiji OPC UA. Pokazano je kako poznavanje standardiziranih semantičkih opisa postrojenja omogućuje razvoj aplikacija za automatsko uključivanje novih upravljačko-nadzornih uređaja u rad podsustava i izvođenje složenih funkcija optimiziranog upravljanja raspodijeljenim podsustavom.
Abstract (english)	Accelerated Smart Grid development has introduced a large scale integration of geographically distributed remotely controllable devices as well as complex subsystems such as virtual power plants and microgrids. By analyzing the existing automation systems it has been shown that currently available automation applications do not fulfil all functional prerequisites for controlling complex Smart Grid subsystems. Therefore, there is a need for developing an adequate technical solutions which will enable simplified and accelerated integration of the new subsystems into the power system and automatic adaptation of supervisory-control applications for the new control methodologies. This thesis describes middleware platform which enables streamlined integration of the new subsystems into the Smart Grid by utilizing vertical communication. Semantic description of subsystem functions and communication towards the middleware platform is based on IEC 61850 standard and OPC UA middleware technology. It has been shown that knowing standardized semantic descriptions of the system enables developing applications for automatic integration of the new remotely controllable devices and allows developing optimized control methodologies for the automatized subsystems.
