Abstract	U ovom su radu opisani osnovni koncepti metoda umjetne inteligencije. U trećem dijelu rada opisane su neuronske mreže i stanje razvoj umjetnih neuronskih mreža u elektroenergetici, poglavito kod planiranja, procjene sigurnosti sustava i otkrivanju kvarova. U četvrtom dijelu rada prikazana je neizrazita (fuzzy) logike s primjenom na polju elektroenergetike. Peti dio rada daje opis genetskih algoritama i njihovo korištenje za optimalni raspored jalove snage u sustavu i za rješavanje zadatka optimalnog rasporeda remonta. Ekspertni sustavi opisani su u šestom dijelu s primjenom pri podešavanja zaštitnih releja. Hibridni sustavi opisani su u sedmom dijelu rada. U zaključku je dana moguća primjenjivost metoda umjetne inteligencije za rješavanje problema u elektroenergetskim sustavima.
Abstract (english)	Presented is basic of artificial intelligence methods, facts and paradigms. In the third chapter neural networks are described with state of the art in power systems, mainly in planning process, security assessment and fault location. The fourth chapter brings up some basic facts about fuzzy logics and their use in utility. In the fifth part there is description of genetic algorithms and how they can be use in optimal dispatch of reactive power and for solving problems of optimal maintenance scheduling. Expert systems are described in the sixth chapter with their use in tuning protective relays. The seventh chapter briefly describes hybrid systems. The conclusion describes the possible usage of artificial intelligence methods in solving problems in power systems.
