Abstract	Razvoj informacijskih infrastruktura ima ključnu ulogu pri tranziciji u informacijsko društvo. Jedna od bitnih usluga koje informacijske infrastrukture trebaju osigurati sustavi su obrazovanja na daljinu. Nakon predstavljanja usluga informacijskih infrastruktura koje se koriste u sustavima obrazovanja na daljinu kao i opisa takvih sustava, ovaj rad predstavlja tehnologije koje se koriste pri zasnivanju sustava obrazovanja na daljinu. Najčešće korištene tehnologije zasnivanja sustava obrazovanja na daljinu su one tehnologije koje omogućuju dinamičko generiranje sadržaja Web dokumenata kao što su Common Gateway Interface (CGI), Active Server Pages (ASP) i Java Server Pages (JSP). ASP i JSP su bolje rješenje od CGI tehnologije jer su brže i omogućuju međudjelovanje komponenti (komponente Modela objektnih komponenti i komponente JavaBeans). Također, sustavi obrazovanja na daljinu mogu se zasnivati tehnologijama distribuiranih objekata kao što su Zajednička arhitektura posrednika zahtjevima objekata (engl. Common Object Request Broker Architecture – CORBA), Model distribuiranih objektnih komponenti (engl. Distributed Component Object Model – DCOM) i Javini pozivi udaljenih metoda (engl. Java Remote Method Invocation – Java RMI). Izrada sustava obrazovanja na daljinu jedan je od zadataka ovog rada. Pri izradi sustava upotrebljena je paradigma učenja i poučavanja zasnovana na korištenju inteligentnih tutorskih sustava. U sklopu rada razvijen je sustav DTEx-Sys (Distributed Tutor-Expert System) koji omogućuje pristup korištenjem sustava WWW inteligentnim tutorskim sustavima generiranim inteligentnom hipermedijskom autorskom ljuskom TEx-Sys (Tutor Expert System). Sustav DTEx-Sys je razvijen 3rednom arhitekturom klijent-poslužitelj gdje su funkcije inteligentnih tutorskih sustava odvojene od korisničkog sučelja i baza područnih znanja.
Abstract (english)	Information infrastructure development has the key in information society realization. Distance education systems represent one of the essential services of information infrastructure. After a brief introduction of information infrastructure services used in distance education systems as well as their descriptions, the technologies for developing distance education systems are presented in this thesis. Frequently used technologies for developing distance education systems are those enabling dynamic generation of Web document contents, here including the following ones: Common Gateway Interface (CGI), Active Server Pages (ASP) and Java Server Pages (JSP). ASP and JSP are better solutions than CGI, because they are faster and support interoperability of components (Component Object Model or JavaBeans components). Another group of technologies for developing distance education systems are those based on distributed objects such as Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA), Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) and Java Remote Method Invocation (Java RMI). Establishing the distance education system is one of the scopes of this work. The employment of intelligent tutoring systems in the learning and teaching process represents the paradigm selected to be the one applied in distance education system development. The DTEx-Sys (Distributed Tutor-Expert System) constitute the result of the work in this thesis and enables Web access to intelligent tutoring systems generated with intelligent hypermedia authoring shell TEx-Sys (Tutor Expert System). DTEx-Sys system is designed as a 3-tier client-server architecture here the intelligent tutoring functions are separated from the user interface and the knowledge bases.
