Abstract	Disertacija govori o konformnim nizovima – antenama koje imaju sposobnost prilagodbe podlozi na koju su postavljene. Dobre karakteristike poput mogućnosti pokrivanja cijele hemisfere, preko šireg frekvencijskog područja od područja planarnih nizova, do mogućnosti usmjeravanja glavne latice u željenom smjeru i pri tom ne gubljenju na vrijednosti dobitka, čine ove antenske sustave primjenjive u različitim područjima komunikacija, u vojnoj i zrakoplovnoj industriji, mogu poslužiti za praćenje objekata, telemetriji, te u raznim upravljačkim procesima. U sklopu ovog istraživanja obrađene su dvije vrste antena kao elemenata sfernog niza – otvoreni valovod antene i mikrotrakaste antene. Obje vrste antena rade u mikrovalnom području, a dimenzije su reda veličine λ. Teorijski model temelji se na izračunavanju dijagrama zračenja takvih antena, a analiza se odvija uz pomoć moment metode uz primjenu spektralne metode. U praktičnom dijelu analize dijagrama zračenja sfernih antena koristi se Metoda direktnog pretraživanja i Particle Swarm Algorithm – PSO algoritam uz pomoć kojih se optimira dijagram zračenja po relevantnim parametrima kako bi se što je više moguće zadovoljili uvjeti na primjenu pojedinog niza. Uz sve prije navedeno, teorijski model verificiran je laboratorijskim modelom niza, no i uz neidealne uvjete mjerenja, postignuti rezultati dobro se poklapaju s očekivanim teorijskim rezultatima, što ukazuje na ispravnost teorijskog modela sfernog antenskog niza i pripadajućeg računalnog programa.
Abstract (english)	This work deals with conformal antenna arrays, i.e. antennas which have the ability to mold to curved shaped surfaces. Advantages of this system such as whole hemisphere coverage, wide bandwith, beam steering without decreasing gain, make these antennas applicable in different category of communication, in military industry, aeronautics, and finally, they can be used for satellite tracking, telemetry and command applications. This PhD disertation investigates two types of antenna elements which constitute antenna array – waveguide and microstrip antennas. Working frequency ranges between 1.45 and 2.0 GHz, and the dimension of elements is order of magnitude λ. The array was modeled by using a computer program based on the method of moments in spectral domain. Radiation pattern optimization was carried out by using the Exact search method and the PSO algorithm. The results obtained from theoretical investigation are verified by a comparison with measured results. Despite errors in the measured results which are a consequence of a not well-defined anechoic chamber and experimental model errors, there is a good agreement between numerical and experimental results in this work.
