Abstract
Nova tehnološka paradigma koja se u posljednjih nekoliko godina pojavila, kada je u pitanju način prikupljanja, obrade, pohrane i distribucije poslovnih podataka i informacija je Računarstvo u oblaku. Računarstvo u oblaku nije jedinstvena tehnologija već skup tehnoloških rješenja koja su evoluirala u području informacijsko-komunikacijskih tehnologija temeljenih prvenstveno na razvoju računalnih arhitektura, računalnih mreža i protokola, odnosno interneta, novih poslužiteljskih i klijentskih operacijskih sustava, sustava za virtualizaciju softverskih i hardverskih rješenja, skriptnih jezika i alata i baza podataka. Navedena tehnološka rješenja omogućuju ispunjenje novih zahtjeva za podacima i informacijama u pogledu njihovog oblika, formata, mjesta nastajanja, vrste obrada, pohrane,diseminacije i prezentacije. Poslovni sustavi, suočeni s problemom prekapacitiranosti i podkapacitiranosti IT resursa s jedne strane, kao i specijalizirani IT poslovni sustavi s viškom kapaciteta i novim tehnološkim mogućnostima s druge strane, počinju pronalaziti zajednička rješenja u tome da se zahtjevi za novim hardverskim i softverskim rješenjima udovolje iznajmljivanjem tih rješenja kao usluga u količinama i vremenu koliko su korisnicima potrebna. Na taj se način korisnika oslobađa od većih kapitalnih ulaganja (koja su prepuštena ponuditelju IT usluga). Koristeći nova tehnološka rješenja (procesorske arhitekture, kapacitete za pohranu, operacijske sustave, virtualizaciju, grid internetske tehnologije, razvojne platforme i aplikacijska rješenja) ponuđači usluga su u stanju ponuditi pojedinačne ili skup usluga koje se danas popularno zovu Računarstvo u oblaku.

When we talk about Cloud computing we think about new technological paradigm in the method of collection, processing, storage and distribution of business information and data which appeared in recent years. Cloud computing is not a technology but a range of technological solutions that have been developed in the field of information and communication technologies based primarily on the development of computer architecture, computer networks and protocols, and the Internet, new server and client operating systems, virtualization software and hardware solutions, scripting languages and tools and databases. The mentioned tehnical solutions enable the fulfillment of the new requirements for data and information regarding their shape, size, place of occurrence, type of processing, storage, dissemination and presentation. Faced with the problem of overcapacity and under-capacity IT resources on the one hand, and specialized IT business systems with excess capacity and new technological possibilities on the other side, operating systems are beginning to find common solutions is that the requirements for new hardware and software solutions meet the renting of these solutions as a service in the amounts and time how users need. In this way, the user releases from major capital investments (which are left to the tenderer IT services). Using new technology solutions (CPU architectures, storage capacity, operating systems, virtualization, grid Internet technology, development platform and application solutions), the service providers are able to offer individual or group of services that are now popularly called Cloud computing.
