Abstract	Uvjeti u kojima danas djeluju osiguravateljske organizacije u Republici Hrvatskoj znatno su promijenjeni u odnosu na stanje prije nekoliko godina. Promjene u gospodarskom sustavu, koje su još u tijeku, bitno mijenjaju uvjete poslovanja osiguravateljskih organizacija u RH te se od njih zahtijeva kontinuirano praćenje kretanja u okolini, brzo djelovanje, inoviranje i poboljšavanje osiguravateljskih usluga sukladno potrebama korisnika. Ključnu ulogu u provedbi organizacijske prilagodbe osiguravateljskih organizacija u tržišnim uvjetima gospodarenja ima menadžment. Autor teorijski raspravlja o menadžmentu u osiguranju s posebnim osvrtom na asimetrične informacije i ulogu informacijskih sustava u suvremenom upravljanju ovim organizacijama. Rad je upotpunjen praktičkim gledištima osiguravateljskoga posla.
Abstract (english)	The condition in which insurance organizations operate now in the Republic of Croatia are significantly altered compared to a few years ago. Changes in the economic system, which are still pending, alter the terms of the business of insurance organizations in Croatia and they require continuous monitoring of the enviroment, quick action, innovation and improvement of insurance services to meet the needs of users. Management has a key role in the implementation of organizational adjustments of insurance organizations in market conditions. The author discusses about management in insurance field with special emphasis on asymmetric informations and the role of information systems in modern management of these organizations. The work is complemented by the practical aspects of the insurance business.
